Reference is a multiple parameter service available from the Title Services menu. Select the R) Reference option from the services menu to display its search parameters. The user can open an order or submit an investigative search for the Reference service.
The Reference service is used for retrieving all recordings and court filings that refer to the instrument number searched, and list all associated property and party names.
The search parameters include the following fields:

If the recorded document was filed in the Year and Instrument Number format, enter the year (two or four digits) the document was filed. |

If the recorded document was filed in the Year and Instrument Number format, enter the document's instrument number. |

If the recorded document being searched was filed in the book and page format, enter the document's book number. |

Page |
If the recorded document being searched was filed in the book and page format, enter the document's page number. |
Like the Instrument search service, information must be entered in either the Book and Page fields or the Year and Instrument fields. However, you can only enter searches for up to six book/page or year/instrument number pairs in any combination, (e.g., four book/page and two year/instrument number combinations).
Also some counties may use only Book/Page fields while others use only the Year/Instrument fields.
