Datedown is a single parameter service available from the Miscellaneous Services menu. Select the D) Datedown Option from the services menu to display its search parameters. The user can only submit an Investigative Search for the Datedown Service. An order cannot be opened with the service. Type the alphanumeric order (can be up to fifteen digits) required for the Datedown search. After entering the order information, click the View Dates or Submit Button to process the search.
Order Datedown Service allows the user to bring an order up-to-date prior to closing escrow and recording applicable documents, by reporting any recordings affecting property or individuals that have been posted to the title database since the title order was opened.
Order Datedown begins with the plant date that the order was opened or the last time a Datedown was performed, depending upon your security setting. The search ends with the current plant date. Order Datedown may be performed as often as necessary. The Order Datedown Option allows the user to batch up to 24 orders at one time using the Add Button.
See the other panel(s) associated with the Datedown Search:
The Qualifier Panel will show the Plant dates as shown below.
Datedown Settings
The services that are searched in each datedown are determined by settings located in the Global Services --> Global Options Service. This service is available from the Application Toolbar item "Profile" and menu item "User Profile."
The "Datedown, Fallout and Order History" group Panel contains the "Hotkey". This means that the Datedown, Fallout and Order History has Title and Tax options and combinations of searches to be performed during the datedown search. These values come to the client from the mainframe and are updated on the mainframe when the user clicks the [OK] button.
The modification of the Datedown options must occur prior to the user selecting the Single Order Datedown Service from the Service Panel.
Order and Error Validation
There are two predictable and potential areas of communication that would require error handling: submitting the datedown request and receiving the datedown results.
Errors during the submission of the datedown requests could result in HTTP 400 or 500 errors. These will require an ICP to fix the Client XML (400) or Mainframe Servers (500).
Validation errors would be that one or more of the order numbers submitted are not found. If so, the application WILL NOT process any of the order numbers and request the user to correct the order numbers that are highlighted in red. This approach is due to the new user interface interaction precedence set by the General Name services.
Errors on receiving the datedown results will result in error messages that will appear on the output screen. The user will need to follow the instructions given by the error.
