Title Services are located within the Services panel.
The Title Services panel for Kern County includes the following services:
Subdivided-this allows you to search for Subdivided/Maps or portions of a subdivision which describe boundaries of real property. The options for searching by Tracts and Map Book are also available from this panel.
Arbs-this allows you to search for Arbs or numbers that represents real property boundaries when the lot, block, section, or quarter does not describe ownership boundaries.
Sectional/Acreage-this allows you to search by Sectional/Acreage or property referenced by section, township, and range that has not yet been subdivided.
Ranchos-this allows you to search for Ranchos which are large unsubdivided portions of land not included in Government Township and Ranges.
Title By APN-this allows you to search for a title chain by entering the Assessor's Parcel Number which identifies a specific piece of property.
General Name-this allows you to search by company, first, last name, middle initial, and Social Security number.
Instrument-this allows you to search for an Instrument or legal document which has been assigned a recording number by the county recorder.
Reference-this allows you to search for all recordings and court filings that refer to the instrument or party searched (a list that displays all associated property and party names).
Plat List-this allows you to search by Plat List or a property list by Plat Number (chart, map, or plan of a tract ). Typically this is a number assigned to the map by the county recorder.
Orders can be opened for all services that are bolded and blue. These services also allow Multi-Parameter searches which means that these services can be searched in combination with other services. For details refer to DTS 2.0 Multi-Parameter Services. Investigative Searches are available on all search indexes.
Shortcut Keys
By keying CTRL+ any letter preceding a service you can open a specific service input panel. For example, keying CTRL+T will open the Subdivided input panel.
