When data is entered into a field it is validated against DTS 2.0 data format specifications. If the data format specifications do not match, the validation fails and the request cannot be processed. When such an error is encountered, you are provided with a message clarifying which field(s) have invalid data and, in some cases, the specific data format requirements will be detailed (e.g., "Cannot contain special characters"). There can be multiple error messages per entered parameter.
User errors are displayed in the application tool bar as shown below. This will normally occur when the View Tax, View Dates or View Plat Buttons are used. The error text will be displayed as red text and it will describe the user error that has occurred. An example is shown below:
