Pending Certificates

A Pending Certificate is a request for a Certificate that requires the Data Trace branch to supply missing information before the Certificate can be issued. Most pending Certificates are the result of a customer opening an Order on one or more CAD Numbers, and the resulting Certificate fails the completeness check.  Sometimes, customers cannot figure out which CAD Number to attach to their Order. When that happens, the customer submits a Locate Request which causes an entry for an Order to be placed in the Pending Certificate List, but the Order has no CAD Numbers linked to it.
